Your clinic may have received an updated letter. There are no changes to the current UHC Medicare Advantage pre-authorization process.
The letter you received was regarding OptumCare members, who now require clinical submission.
These patient members will present with a UHC ID card (see right) that also notes on the front “IPN Optum Care Network”. These members should be checked for pre-authorization clinical submission requirements on the Optum portal.
